Kalo dari kacamata saya sih ini maksudnya ada temennya si Marley *kali* yang mati waktu demo di trechtown. Trus dia coba tenangin pacar temennya itu.

Sepengetahuan saya, orang english jamaican nyebut kata 'dont' dengan menggunakan kata 'no'. Makanya disini si Marley nyoba hibur si pacar temennya dengan kata "no woman no cry" atao bisa diterjemahin  jadi "jangan menangis perempuan, jangan". 

Hnah!!! ini nih yang kadang jadi suka salah tafsir. Dimana anak-anak abg Circle K bisa sambil mabok-mabokan karena putus cinta nyanyi-nyanyi 'no woman no cry', Ah salah !!! mending nyanyi Love will tear us apartnya Joy Division ato Trustnya The cure....hehe subjektif sekali.
